Monitors

One of the guidelines for providing a tutorial service to student-athletes is that this service should be conducted in a supervised environment. To assist in maintaining a productive environment in the study center, the Office of Academic Services for Student-Athletes employs student monitors during the evening and weekend hours of operation. In addition to keeping the study center running smoothly, the monitor is responsible for signing student-athletes and their tutors in and out of the study center, managing the assignment of tutoring groups to available spaces, and addressing any problems as they arise. Seniors and graduate students are eligible to be monitors.  Monitors must be able to commit to a consistent schedule for the entire semester.
