Amy Shrout is the Tutor Program Coordinator. A teacher at heart, she is at-home whenever surrounded by students. Amy studied Economics and German at Northwestern University and earned a Master of Science in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Having taught at the college and high school levels, Amy also has led teams scoring the AP exam in Microeconomics and contributed to several popular economics textbooks. A 2015 residency in Germany with her family inspired Amy to engage in freelance translating projects. Early in her professional life, Amy served at the US Embassy in Bern, Switzerland. Prior to joining the ASSA staff in 2025, Amy came to Notre Dame initially as an academic advisor to first-year students and then as adjunct faculty, teaching economics to business undergraduates.
