Faculty Feedback

Academic Services for Student-Athletes (ASSA) works to support and challenge student-athletes in an effort to help them maximize their academic potential while enrolled at Notre Dame. ASSA is housed in Undergraduate Education under the Office of the Provost, and the academic counselors aim to be a valuable resource for faculty.

Faculty are invited to log in to mystudentathletes.nd.edu [*]to view a list of student-athlete(s) currently enrolled in their course(s). Through this application, we encourage faculty to share feedback regarding the students’ presence and performance in class. This information helps academic counselors to work proactively with each student.  Observations concerning participation, level of engagement, class attendance, and overall performance are invaluable as we strive to fulfill our office mission.  

Additionally, faculty are encouraged to email or call counselors directly with comments or concerns.  

Excused Absences

Excused absences for athletic competition and related events that are approved by the Faculty Board on Athletics (FBA) will be communicated to faculty via email from assa@nd.edu.  The FBA website features a FAQ section covering the athletic competition scheduling process and the University's policies for athletic excused absences.
